The Servite Ice Hockey team closed their season Tuesday night with a 5-2 loss against JSerra in the semi-finals. This was the third time Servite faced off against JSerra this season, each team earning two wins heading into this match-up.

JSerra opened the game striking first with a short-handed goal. Servite quickly tied the game when Junior, Max Blitz found the net for the Friars. Servite penalties led to JSerra power plays and four more goals netted for the Lions. Trailing 5-1, Servite fought to get back into the game with multiple attempts on goal including one off the cross bar. Senior, Sean Moran scored again for the Friars with 3:22 remaining in the third period but the late goal was not enough to clinch the victory for Servite.

Servite finished the season 6-9 with Matthew Weller and Tyler Wilkerson tied for most goals scored with eight a piece. Weller also led the Friars in assists with six and in points with 15. Garrett Nieto manned the net for the Friars this season playing 256 minutes in the regular season while allowing only twelve goals on 128 shots for a save percentage of .906.
Servite congratulates Seniors Ted Gerish, Michael Walters, Sean Moran and Tyler Wilkerson on a great season.
