Posted 01/23/2019 10:28AM

Chad Sinclair has committed to play soccer at Biola University. The Friars' midfielder shared, "I chose Biola because of the location and the amazing staff that I have met so far. I have heard nothing but positives." He went on to say, "What attracted me most to the soccer program was definitely Coach Elkins, he was extremely helpful throughout the process."

Sinclair is a three-year varsity letterman for the Friars and a 1st Team All-Trinity League selection in 2018 having helped lead Servite Soccer to their fifth consecutive league title. This season he has played in 16 games for the Friars tallying six goals and three assists.

Coach Jon Spencer shared, "We are excited to have Chad Sinclair commit to Biola University. He has worked hard to achieve his goal of playing college soccer. One of the greatest attributes that Chad has exemplified at Servite is his willingness to work for his teammates. When he joined the varsity team he immediately made an impact on our program. His diversity as a player has allowed him to be able to adapt to playing different positions. Ultimately his role in the center of midfield has been the major difference in our run to the Trinity League Title in 2018." Coach Spencer continued, "As we compete to win another title we know that Chad will be a crucial part of our success. As he moves on to college we pray he continues to use his God-given talent and continue to grow into a man that leads others. Congratulations Chad!"

In addition to soccer, Sinclair is involved with the Spikeball Club on campus and has volunteered with the Credo Youth Soccer Camp since coming to Servite. Academically, he has also earned Principal's Honor Roll and Honor Roll.

In an article written for the Biola website, Sinclair shared, "I attribute my success to my parents' and coaches' support. And I would like to especially thank all of those who helped me achieve this opportunity," said Sinclair. "Coach Elkins has also been extremely helpful in the recruitment process and I can't wait to be able to play and travel with the team."

Servite wishes Chad the best of luck as he concludes his senior season and moves on to compete at the collegiate level!
