Servite Scholar-Athlete of the Week (11/5/18)
Favorite School Subject: My favorite subject is English because I have always loved reading. I enjoy placing myself in a different world, even if it is only briefly, and English class allows me to do this.
How do you balance the academic and athletic rigors here at Servite? I balance the rigor of both academics and athletics by staying on top of all my work and studying. I know that getting behind in school will only make it harder, so I do my best to finish my homework as soon as possible and to always save time for studying.
What is your go-to study tip for an upcoming exam? My go-to study tip for an upcoming exam is to study what's important. There's no reason to spend time on something that won't be on the test or on something that I already know. So I devote my time to what will be the most important part of the test or the material I don't know.
What else are you involved in at Servite? I am also involved in Bridges, CSF, NHS, Her Servants' Kitchen, and Priory.
What's your biggest motivation that keeps you striving to be the best student-athlete you can be? My parents and friends are my biggest motivations. I see how much they all care for me, and I want to do everything in my power to make them proud. I don't want all they do for me to go to waste, which keeps me aiming ever higher.
