It is always great to see new student sections come in for battle. We had two student sections from the city of Irvine battle it out Friday as their teams faced two other teams from Irvine.

Noise pollution was at an all-time high in Irvine on Friday night.

While the noise was uncontrollable in Irvine, another student section went the neon colors route and you can never go wrong with neon.

In the end, it was two powerhouse student sections that battled to the end for the title of OCVarsity Student Section of the Week.

Let's take a look at our finalists and crown our champion for Week 6.

The Nest was alive Friday night. It was Neon Night, but you didn't have to tell me that. The photos and videos said it all.

What made the night even better was that El Dorado was on the road. I love road warriors!

Despite the tough 34-3 loss to Yorba Linda, it was a fun night for the Hawks Nest.

Just like the Hawks Nest, The Den of Northwood went to the road (I mean, all they had to do was go south on Culver) and battled with the Trojan Army of University.

The Den controlled the noise in the stands and the Timberwolves controlled the game in their 29-12 victory over University.

The Den pulled out a lights show in the stands. It was a very entertaining night provided by Northwood.

Like The Den a few weeks back, The Frontier of Irvine stepped in for Domestic Abuse and rocked the purple.

The Frontier was in full force in their home game against Woodbridge. Despite the 23-17 loss, the Frontier rocked the stands.

This is one of the student sections that has come out of nowhere this season and should be an elite student section very soon.

The Clan opened up the Freeway League in its usual fashion and rocked their school colors. It was a one sided affair in La Habra 47-3 victory over Fullerton.

The Clan never disappoints and Friday night was no different. What helped them become a finalist was their social media game, which is always on point. Using the hashtag #ocvfans has been huge for The Clan.

For the second time this year, The Asylum is the OCVarsity Student Section of the Week.

The Asylum, which won this title in Week 1, went all out for their big rivalry game against Mater Dei.

Now, The Asylum wasn't alone here. They had The Mater Dei Den on the other side. The Den, which won the title in Week 5, came in ready to go, but The Asylum turned it up a notch with an unusual theme, Coach Troy Thomas Night.

Despite the 35-0 loss to the Monarchs, The Asylum stuck by their team.

"No matter who we play or what the score is, the Asylum will always stick by its brothers on the field," The Asylum said in a statement. "The whole week leading up to the football game was more than just a student section, it was bonding between brothers and that is the purpose of the Asylum. This would not be possible without the support of the Servite community: administration, alumni, parents, coaches, and students."

Of course, The Asylum always ends with a Ric Flair swagger type of comment.

"Obviously, we will be back for more titles," The Asylum said.

If they do win this again or not, one thing is for sure: The Asylum is the OCVarsity Student Section of the Week for Week 6.

Credo, men, Credo!
