Track Earns Key League Win over Santa Margarita

After opening league competition with a victory over JSerra, Track and Field kept the momentum going defeating Santa Margarita 78-56. The Friars won 10 events while sweeping the 110 Hurdles and Discus. Julius Irvin ran a wind-aided 10.59 in the 100 to break Matthew Slater's previous record from 2003 and anchored the 4x100 relay team that posted a 42.94 in addition to winning the 200.

Christian Ojeda, Nathan Lacson and Kyle Kimble went 1-2-3 in the 110 Hurdles with Kimble winning the 300s while Lucky Nelson, Joe Christensen and Braden Sprenger swept the medal stand in the Discus with Nelson throwing a distance of 147-02.
