SERVITE BEGINS SEARCH FOR NEW PRESIDENT
At the end of the 2017/2018 academic year, Servite's President, Pete Bowen, will be leaving Servite after 14 years of outstanding service to the school. The Servite community applauds Bowen's transformational contributions. Servite High School's Board of Directors now begins the important task of recruiting a replacement to lead the school as it embraces the challenges and opportunities which lay ahead.
To this end, the Board has established a Search Committee, led by Tim Buckley, '73, highly regarded CEO of Vintage Design and Servite Board member. Buckley's vision, initiative, enthusiasm and financial support figure prominently at Servite, most recently playing a central role in the completion of the world-class Father Kevin Fitzpatrick Aquatics Center.
"I am excited about the opportunity to bring the very best available talent to lead our team during the next chapter for the School," said Tim. He will be joined on the search committee by three fellow Board members, including former Servite President, Father Gerald Horan O.S.M., former Principal of St. Juliana School, Mary Santoni, and Roth Staffing CFO, Mimi Taylor. The committee also expects to reach out to other key Servite stakeholders to include in the process as it undertakes an extensive search to identify qualified applicants to take on the challenge and opportunity of leading Servite into the next decade.
To ensure a smooth transition of leadership, the Board has also appointed Father Horan to act as Board Liaison to the Servite executive team during this transitional period. Father Horan will serve in a consultative role to provide guidance to the school's leadership and to ensure continuity in its mission. As Assistant Provincial for the USA Province of the Servite Order, and past Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Orange, Father Horan will bring valuable insight to the school's management team during this transitional period.
