Thursday's league football game vs. Santa Margarita kept fans on the edge of their seat until the final play of the night when senior safety Cade Fuller batted down the Hail Mary pass attempt by the Eagles to clinch the victory for Servite.

The new Dr. Ben Rubin Sports Medicine Center is nearly triple in size from the previous sports medicine area with 1,100 square feet. It has a trainer's office for the evaluation of student-athletes, training and taping tables, and rehabilitation equipment. It brings Servite into the 21st century of treating and caring for student injuries.

Liam Ward paced the varsity squad coming in with a time of 15:42.4 to place 4th overall followed by Micah Navarro in 9th posting a 15:56.6. Other top finishers for varsity included Aaron Libell, Jared Steins and Michael Barker.

In addition to cross country, Borsari is also involved in CSF, NHS, Guitar Club, Her Servants' Kitchen, and Academic Decathlon at Servite.

Blaze McKibbin threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns and Noah Avinger and Zedakiah Centers each intercepted passes as No. 10 Servite kept its playoff hopes alive in CIF-SS Division 1 with a crucial 30-23 victory against No. 6 Santa Margarita at Trabuco Hills High.

Ms. Carlson has been with Servite for six years and in her current role for five. She works in conjunction with the athletic department to support and promote our 13 CIF sports as well as our coaches and student-athletes.

Guillermo Ocasio '20 led Servite Water Polo to victories over Buena Park (18-2) and JSerra (16-7) last week to earn recognition as this week's Athlete of the Week! Offensively, Ocasio posted six goals against the Coyotes then followed that dominant performance with an eight-goal outing vs. the Lions accounting for half the goals scored in the game.

Equanimeous St. Brown '15 made his first three NFL catches Sunday for a total of 89 yards. His first catch was for 17 yards followed by receptions of 18 and 54 yards.

Micah Navarro led the Varsity team coming in at 16:38.70 followed by Jared Steins, Liam Ward and Aaron Libell. Joseph Albano was the top finisher for JV while Erwin Sarino paced the F/S squad.

Oviedo is a two-sport athlete for the Friars playing Football and Volleyball in addition to being a member of multiple clubs and serving as a Student Ambassador.

Varsity Water Polo Player/Swimmer, Peyton Carey `19, has been recognized by USA Water Polo as a recipient of their 2017-2018 Outstanding Academic All-American Award for the second year in a row.

Micah Navarro '19 led Servite's Cross Country team to a 2nd place finish at last week's Trinity League Prelims held at Central Park in Huntington Beach. Navarro placed 5th overall out of a field of 41 runners coming in with a time of 15:47.9 for the Friars.
