Service Immersion & Excursions

Social Justice is an integral part of the high school experience at a Catholic School. The Servite Order has been committed and continues to be committed, “to witness the gospel in fraternal communion and to be at the service of God and all people, drawing abiding inspiration from Mary, Mother and Servant of the Lord.” Chapter 1 from The Rule and Constitutions of The Order of Friar Servants of Mary

To get out of the merely academic/intellectual understanding of Christianity requires getting out of one's’ comfort zone and putting faith into action for the betterment of the poor, downtrodden, and those on the margins.

Through various local excursions and mission-trip opportunities, Campus Ministry will lead students to experience the lives of others facing hardships as well as work hands-on to embrace the other as Christ in their midst.

Homeboy Industries: January 8 & 9, 2018

Campus Ministry will be offering two optional days of service immersion for seniors on January 08 and 09. We will take a maximum of 50 students each day to Homeboy Industries in LA to work with the incarcerated and witness the Homeboy ministry in action.

To attend, please fill out the inquiry and registration form. The forms can be emailed to campusministry@servitehs.org. Attendance will be based on a first come, first served basis, until spots are filled. This will count as an excused absence. Note: a student may only attend ONE of the two days this excursion is offered, not both.

We hope to offer more of these experiences throughout the semester and years to come. Please email the Campus Ministry team with any questions! campusministry@servitehs.org
