Servite Mourns the Passing of Fr. Perry McCoy, OSM

It is with human sadness but with strong faith and hope in the resurrection of Jesus Christ that we announce the passing of Fr. Perry McCoy OSM. Fr. Perry entered eternal life on Sunday, December 31st. He was 81 years old.

Fr. Perry was a professed Servite Friar for 26 years, and would have celebrated his 25th year of ordination in March. He served at Servite High School from 2009-2016 as school Chaplain. Before arriving at Servite High School, he served in El Paso, Texas, The Grotto in Portland, Oregon, and at St. Philip Benizi Parish in Fullerton, California, to name a few. He was currently residing at St. Juliana's in Fullerton, California. Fr. Perry loved to travel and chronicled some of his experiences in his book "On the Road to Emmaus", which is available at the Servite Store on campus.

There will be a Memorial Mass for Fr. Perry on Wednesday, January 10th at 5:00PM in the Seven Holy Founders Chapel on the campus of Servite High School.

May eternal rest be granted onto him, O Lord.

And may perpetual light shine upon him.
