Water Polo traveled to compete in the Diamond Bar Classic going 4-0 overall to win the tournament title and improve to 15-5 on the season.
The Friars defeated Santiago in the finals 17-9 after a dominant all around effort that included victories over San Marino (17-2), Costa Mesa (21-3) and Walnut (20-10) in earlier rounds.
Steven Rubly led the team offensively in the championship game with five goals after adding six in the semis. Lucas Rodriguez found the net four times while Sam Diamond tallied three assists and Elias Guirado recorded four saves. Goalkeeper Tanner McCreary posted 30 saves in the tournament.
This victory comes on the heels of the Friars winning the D2 Shootout at El Toro earlier this season with their perfect 3-0 record and 7-5 victory over Westlake in the finals.
