Senior Cristian Uriostegui has committed to play soccer at Hope International University in Fullerton. The Friars' midfielder shared, "I chose Hope because of what the school had to offer and for the soccer program."

A three-year varsity letterman for Servite, Uriostegui earned All-Trinity league honors his senior season as the Friars won their 9th consecutive League Championship. He also helped lead the team to a CIF-SS D1 title and an historic CIF D1 Regional Championship. Throughout his career, he played in 45 games tallying nine goals and nine assists for 27 points.

Head Coach Eddie Soto shared, "Cristian is a tenacious player who has a huge work ethic.  A player who consistently is fighting and proving his worth, Cris's technique and passion to compete will help as he adjusts to the college game. Cris is a champion and I'm looking forward to following his progress.  I'm so proud of him and know he will be well-respected by his peers and staff just as he was at Servite."

Uriostegui is the ninth soccer player from the incredibly talented senior class to announce his commitment and will join fellow Friar, Denzel Barrientos '21 in playing at Hope in the fall.

In closing he added, "I’d like to thank my family, the Servite coaches, and all the people who have supported me throughout my years at Servite.
