Coaches
Eddie Soto- Head Coach
The 2022-2023 season marked Coach Soto’s third year at the helm of the Servite program. During his tenure, the Friars have won two Trinity League Championships, one CIF-SS D1 title and the first CIF-SS D1 Southern Regional Championship in school history. For his efforts, Coach Soto was named the CIF-SS D1 and OCRegister Boys Soccer Coach of the Year in 2022. In addition to the championship run, the Friars reached the CIF-SS D1 Semifinals in 2021 and the CIF-SS D1 Quarterfinals in 2023. The Friars are now 54-10-5 in under Soto’s leadership and have been ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation.
Coach Soto brings over 20 years of coaching experience to the Friars working at both the collegiate and youth level. In addition to his responsibilities with Servite, he serves as the head coach at Cal State Dominguez Hills having taken over the program in 2019 after a successful five-season run at the University of San Francisco. Prior to USF, he spent eight seasons as an assistant at UCLA before stints at Cal State Long Beach and Cal State Fullerton. In addition, Coach Soto worked as the men’s head coach for the USA Beach Soccer National Team from 2007-2020 while serving as the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Head Coach with the LA Galaxy Academy from 2009-2013.
As an athlete, Soto was a two-time High School Parade All-American and the 1990 CIF 3-A Player of the Year at Cerritos High School. He was also a member of the NHB Futbol Club that won the 1991 National Championship and a member of the U.S. U-18 and U-20 National Teams. He then moved on to compete collegiately at Cal State Fullerton where he was a two-time All-America selection. Soto graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology before being selected in the initial MLS Draft in 1996 by the New York/New Jersey MetroStars then again in the 1998 supplemental draft by the San Jose Clash.
Eddie Garica- Varsity Assistant, JV Head Coach
Coach Garcia joined the Servite staff having previously coached at both the collegiate and high school levels. He also worked in the scouting department for the LA Galaxy Academy and from 2014-19 was involved with the Strikers FC of the US Soccer Development Academy. In addition, he served as an assistant coach at Paramount High School from 2010-15 and helped the Pirates to three CIF-Southern Section crowns, three CIF state titles and two regional championships.
Freddy Mora- Varsity Assistant, F/S Head Coach
Coach Mora joined the Servite staff for the 2022-2023 season after previously serving as the head coach at Cypress High School from 2018-2022. Prior to his coaching career, he played internationally for Chivas De Guadalajara fuerza basicas in Mexico, competing for the la segunda division pro team from 2004-2006. He currently serves as the Director for TFAOC Academy coaching successful youth boys & girls teams with multiple State & tournament championships.
Alan Solorio - Varsity Assistant, Goalkeeper Coach
Coach Solorio joined the Servite staff for the 2021-2022 season as the program's goalkeeper coach. An accomplished keeper himself, he played for LA Galaxy II as well as Cal State Dominguez Hills. Prior to his time with the Toros, he represented Pateadores in the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy.

1st-8th grades, co-ed
The purpose of the Youth Soccer Camp is to introduce youth to the game and to improve the skills of those who are already playing. The camp is run by Head Soccer Coach Eddie Soto and his coaching staff as well as current Servite players and recent alumni. Participants are encouraged to wear athletic attire and cleats and bring their own water bottle. A camp t-shirt will be provided. The camp will be held on Courage Field at Servite.
