Mason Graham '22 and the Michigan Wolverines have won the 2023 National Championship finishing the season undefeated with a perfect 15-0 record overall.

In route to the title, Graham and the Wolverines defeated Alabama in overtime at the Rose Bowl with the former Friars' DE being named Defensive MVP in front of a home crowd in Pasadena.

Graham finished the game with four tackles, three solo, including a tackle for loss in a key moment. After Michigan scored first in overtime, Alabama was in position to tie the game once again. The Tide were facing second-and-goal from the Michigan nine yard line when Graham busted through the Alabama line and tackled running back Jase McClellan for a five-yard loss. That set Alabama back to third-and-goal from the 14 and ultimately kept them out of the end zone, securing the Michigan victory.

Graham, who started 13 games for the Wolverines as a sophomore, add three tackles in the championship game as Michigan defeated Washington 34-13.
