servite alumni challenge 2020
ALUMNI CHALLENGE/ COVID-19 UPDATE ON MARCH 16, 2020
Dear Servite Alumni,
During this global health crisis, we pray that this email finds you and your family well. As we do each day, we at Servite will continue to pray for your health and well-being. As we shared with you on Friday, Servite’s campus is closed until further notice, with instruction moving online as of tomorrow, March 17th. Regular updates on the campus can be found at servitehs.org/health.
Yesterday, March 15th was supposed to mark the kick-off of our Annual Alumni Challenge. This is always a fun and lighthearted competition among our classes, marked by amusing videos, funny banter, and recreational gatherings. Given current health restrictions and concerns, the time for this no longer seems appropriate. With regret, we must cancel the Alumni Happy Hour scheduled for March 24th, Career Day on April 2nd and the Cornhole tournament scheduled for April 4th. We plan to reschedule these events once school has resumed.
While the Alumni Challenge is fun, it is also a fundraiser for our school, one that we counted on in the budget for the current year. That need for funding not only remains, it is now greater due to the uncertainty facing our revenue projections, investments, and the need to support families and staff in crisis.
We know that many of you share that same uncertainty and are unable to provide any financial support. However, if you do have the ability, please consider making a gift to Servite now to help us weather this storm and continue our mission. We wish we didn’t have to ask, but your help is genuinely needed.
To make a donation, go online at servitehs.org/support or mail your donation to Servite High School, 1952 W. La Palma Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92801.
As men of faith who were formed at Servite to be leaders, we urge you to take steps to protect yourself and your loved ones. Reduce your exposure to the virus if you can. Know when and how to seek medical assistance if it becomes necessary. Your faith, integrity, and strength will help others be their best.
