Servite Academic Assistance
Servite High School is dedicated to providing students with a rigorous and formational academic experience. Servite truly believes every young man on campus has the potential to achieve great things and encourages students to achieve Mastery of Self in the classroom. Servite also believes in The Necessity of the Other and encourages students to seek support when they need it; therefore, Servite strives to offer many academic support systems to partner with and meet the needs of all students. Servite students who self-advocate and take advantage of the educational support on campus will be equipped to find academic success.
Academic Assistance Open to All Students
Throughout the school year, Servite offers academic support opportunities open to all students on campus. Parents/Guardians will receive consistent communication concerning these opportunities. Servite believes in the importance of partnering with parents/guardians, so these communications will invite and encourage them to sign their sons up to attend.
CSF Tutoring and CSF Study Sessions
Servite is dedicated to educational excellence as well as service, and members of Servite’s CSF (California Scholarship Federation) are required to meet tutoring requirements throughout the year. CSF is made up of Servite students who have achieved high academic marks, so they can be great resources, and peer-to-peer tutoring exemplifies the core charism of the Servite order—Service, fraternity, and devotion to Mary. Students can schedule a CSF (California Scholarship Federation) student tutor at any time throughout the year.
Servite also offers CSF Study Sessions at lunch during the first week of every month. Students will have access to a contentspecific teacher and CSF tutors to get extra help and support or study for coming assessments. Parents/Guardians will receive regular communication to sign their sons up for CSF Tutoring and CSF Study Sessions.
Student Success Program
In the Servite Library from 7:00 am to 8:00 am on Monday-Friday, Mr. Mike Marshall runs Servite’s Student Success Program. This program aims to provide any student with a structured study hall, encouragement, and study tools, as well as help them develop a success plan that meets their individual needs and goals.
Students in the Student Success Program will have consistent contact with teachers and student tutors who are motivated to help. Students are also encouraged to stop by any time they need help or a space to catch up on work. Parents/Guardians will receive regular communication to sign their sons up for the Student Success Program.
