Servite Wrestling competed at this weekend's Five Counties Tournament hosted by Fountain Valley High School finishing with four placers and one champion!

Senior Tristen Wilson brought home the coveted belt at 195lbs defeating Clovis West by decision 9-4 in the finals. Wilson opened the tournament with a bye then tallied back-to-back falls to advance to day two of competition and earn a spot in the quarterfinals. He then pinned his opponent from Villa Park before defeating Selma by decision to punch his ticket to the finals. This is the third tournament championship of the season for Wilson who also won titles at the Cossarek Classic and Zinkin Classic while finishing as runner-up at the Mann Classic.

Sophomore Marcus Medina also had a great weekend for the Fight'n Friars taking down the number 1, 3 and 6 seeds on his way to a 3rd place finish at 132lbs.

Seniors Valor Buck (170) and Neil Carter (160) rounded out the medal winners for Servite finishing 4th and 8th respectively.

The Fight'n Friars will be back in action this Tuesday when they host St. John Bosco at 7pm to wrestle for the Trinity League title.
