The Servite Track & Field team made California history Saturday morning, becoming the first 4x100m relay team in state history to run sub-40 seconds during a high school meet.

Trabuco Hills High School was the backdrop for the monumentous feat as sophomores Jace Wells, Jorden Wells and Kamil Pelovello, alongside junior Benjamin Harris ran 39.82 to etch their names in the record books.

Individually, Jace Wells (10.63) went on to win the 100m and fellow sophomore Jaelen Hunter (46.66) won the 400m, while Benjamin Harris (20.77), Jorden Wells (20.90) and Kamil Pelovello (20.97) swept the 200m.

The Wells twins, Pelovello and Hunter also won the 4x400m (3:10.33) to end the meet.
