OC Varsity announced their All-Orange County Swim team Monday including recent graduate Christian Martinez who was selected for his times posted in the 50 and 100 Free!

Martinez, who was this year’s Servite Athlete of the Year, won Trinity League in both events his senior season while also winning the 50 Free as a junior and anchoring the 200 Free championship relay team. During that run he set new league records in the 50 Free, both years, and the 200 Free relay in 2018. He also holds the school record in all three previously mentioned events.

This season, Martinez’s fastest times were posted at the CIF-SS Finals earning him a 2nd place finish in the 50 (20.27) and a 3rd in the 100 (44.64). Additionally, his 50 Free swim tied him for 3rd all-time in county history.

Martinez opted out of the 2019 CIF State Tournament but competed as a junior earning All-American recognition!

A three-sport athlete for the Friars playing water polo and basketball as well, Martinez will focus on swim as he heads to UC Santa Barbara to compete collegiately.
