Nancy Windisch appointed as principal effective April 1, 2024

ANAHEIM, CA - Servite High School, a leading all-male, Catholic college preparatory high school, announced today that Nancy Windisch will become the school’s principal effective April 1, 2024. Windisch is the successor to Stephen Walswick ‘02, who became President effective July 1, 2023.  She has been serving as the interim principal during the current school year and is the first female principal in the school’s 66-year history. The appointment of Windisch was made by Walswick following a nationwide search and unanimous approval by the school’s Board of Directors.

“During our search process, Servite High School was seeking a principal who would be a faith-focused administrator and exceptional academic leader, help guide Servite’s continued growth, and lead the school to the next level of excellence,” said President Walswick. “While we interviewed candidates from across the country, Mrs. Windisch’s proven experience, thoughtful leadership style, and passion for our mission made her the ideal candidate for the position.”

“Mrs. Windisch has already demonstrated her aptitude as a collaborative and servant leader. She naturally and authentically connects with students, colleagues, parents, and all other members of the Servite community,” he continued. “I look forward to working closely with her to continue the positive momentum of the school while keeping our community focused and rooted in our Catholic values and traditions of the Servite Order.

Windisch has more than 25 years of experience in Catholic education, including serving as Assistant Principal of Academics at Servite prior to taking on the role of interim principal.  From 2002 to 2018, she served as principal at St. Angela Merici Catholic School in Brea, CA, where she honed her administrative and leadership skills while creating a positive school culture and cultivating community partnerships. She holds a bachelor’s degree and multiple subject credentials from the University of Southern California, where she was an All-American swimmer. She also earned a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from National University.

“I am honored to be selected as the next principal of Servite High School,”  said Windisch.  “I am passionate about upholding the traditions of Servite High School and dynamically advancing the school for years to come. I look forward to actively cultivating supportive relationships with staff, parents, and students, connecting families from different groups and increasing community partnerships.”

Windisch and her husband Todd, an attorney, live in Placentia. They are the parents of three adult children, Ryan and Kevin, both alumni of Servite, and Amy, a graduate of Rosary Academy.
