SERVITE HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD OFFICERS AND MEMBERS

Servite High School is pleased to announce new officers and new members of our volunteer Board of Directors for the fiscal year July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.  Kristin Brkich, who is in her second term as a board member and the former chair of the board’s finance committee, was elected board chair. Returning board member Jeff Hamar was elected vice chair and alumnus Fr. Michael Pontarelli ‘73, also in his second term, was named board secretary.  

We are also excited to introduce our newly elected board members:

Bob Colgan

Bob Colgan serves as Senior Vice President of Construction at RSI Holding Corporation, where he and the RSI team develop single and multifamily residential housing projects across Southern California. Bob also works closely with the Simon Family Foundation and the Simon Builders Apprenticeship Program in developing construction apprenticeship programs in Orange County high schools. Prior to joining RSI, he headed the Woodworking Manufacturing Technologies Department at Cerritos College, where he was recognized as the WMIA Educator of the Year for his leadership in advancing vocational education and preparing students for careers in the woodworking and construction industries.  Bob is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach.

Bob and his wife Lisa live in Orange and enjoy spending time with their three children, Nick, Kasey, and Max (Servite ‘20). The Colgan family have been active members and lifelong supporters of Holy Family School and Church. 

Michael Hennessey

Mr. Hennessey is the principal of Hennessey Group, a real estate investment and development firm that owns and manages a portfolio of multi-family and commercial real estate throughout Southern California, with national brand tenants such as Starbucks, AT&T, Jack-in-the-Box, ARCO, Del Taco, and Subway.

With more than 30 years of experience in the Southern California real estate industry, Mr. Hennessey has deep experience in real estate development, construction, investment, finance, capital markets, asset management, strategic planning, and governance in the public and private sectors.

Mr. Hennessey serves on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), a $1.4 billion public agency. Mr. Hennessey is the appointed public member, who also serves on the Executive Committee, Finance Committee, and Real Estate ad hoc committee.

He has also served on the Boards of Directors for the Southern Calif. Regional Railroad Authority (Metro Link); LOSSAN Railroad Corridor; Santa Ana YMCA; Orange Coast Legatus; Regional Center of Orange County, Building Acquisition Committee; Holy Family Church & School Security Enhancement Construction Committee. He possesses a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

He and his wife, Gwen, are the proud parents of two Servite graduates (Jack ‘20 and Neil ‘24) and a Rosary Academy graduate (Olivia ‘18).

David M. McCloskey '86

David McCloskey, a 1986 Servite High School alumnus, has over two decades of leadership experience, including his tenure as a Vice President at Intel Corporation. During his time at Intel, he held various leadership roles in product marketing and operations, with assignments in Santa Clara, California, and Hong Kong. 

Mr. McCloskey is a U.S. Army veteran, having served more than five years and achieved the rank of captain. He earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. 

He and his wife, Julie, have two college-age children.
