Baseball season is coming and senior SS Roman Martin has been named a MaxPreps Preseason All-American and their top player in California! Watch him and the Friars open their 2023 campaign when they compete in the PBR Tournament beginning February 11th at Great Park!
A UCLA commit, Martin was named the Trinity League Rookie of the Year his sophomore season and Trinity League CO-MVP his junior year after hitting .422 overall and .511 in league play. He also earned MaxPreps Junior All-American recognition in 2022 while being named 1st Team All-Orange County.
During the offseason, he was selected to represent Team USA in Mexico where he won gold and participate in both the Perfect Game All-American Classic and the USA Baseball All-American Game held at Dodgers Stadium as part of MLB All-Star Week.
