Karlie Carlson

Servite Athletics recognized nine student-athletes from five sports Wednesday, November 13 during a ceremony held in the gym as commitments were made by members of the class of 2020 to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. Golf led all sports with three participants followed by baseball and soccer with two each while lacrosse and wrestling recognized one athlete.

Baseball

Garret Guillemette (USC)- A four-year varsity letterman and starter for the Friars, Guillemette is a 2x All-Trinity League catcher. He has also been chosen to play in the Area Code Games twice and selected OC Register Baseball Player of the Week.
Peter Newton (University of Illinois at Chicago)- A two-year varsity letterman, Newton is a right-handed pitcher who mostly came out of the pen for the Friars last season pitching 19.2 innings while finishing the season with a 1.06 ERA. 

Golf

All four-year varsity letterman, Alex Hanz, Nicolas Harrison and Cameron Xiao have been instrumental in continuing the success of the Servite Golf program. Together they have helped lead the team to three consecutive CIF-SS Championships and three straight Trinity League titles. To date they are 63-1 overall and 29-1 in league. They have also competed in 11 tournaments winning eight, finishing as runner-ups in two and taking third in one.

Alex Hanz (UC San Diego)- Individually, Hanz is a 3x All-Trinity League selections while earning All-County recognition his sophomore and junior year.
Nicolas Harrison (Amherst College)- Individually, Harrison is a 2x All-Trinity League selection.
Cameron Xiao (Cal State Fullerton)- Individually, Xiao is a 3x All-Trinity League selection while earning All-County recognition his freshman and sophomore year.

Lacrosse

Jack Terrones (Southern New Hampshire University)- A four-year varsity letterman and starter for the Friars, Terrones is a 3x 1st Team All-Trinity League selection and All-County nominee. He has led the Friars in scoring and/or points since his freshman year and finished his junior campaign as the league’s leading scorer. Through three seasons with the Friars, he has tallied 125 goals, 49 assists and 106 ground balls for a total of 174 points with his senior season yet to be played. 

Soccer

Soccer has won six consecutive Trinity League Championships.

David Mitzner (University of Portland)- A three-year varsity letterman and goalkeeper for the Friars, Mitzner earned 13 wins in goal his junior season with six shutouts.
Uriel Sanchez (Cal State Dominguez Hills)- A three-year varsity letterman for the Friars, Sanchez was selected Trinity League MVP, All-CIF and All-Orange County following his junior season. He was also named to the Top Drawer Soccer All-State and All-Region team in addition to being offered a spot to play in the inaugural AllState All-American Cup in Florida.

Wrestling

Wrestling is coming off their best season in school history winning Trinity League, two CIF-SS Championships and Masters.

Josh Medina (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo)- A four-year varsity letterman for Servite, Medina is a two-time Trinity League Champion winning the individual title as a freshman wrestling at 120 and as a junior competing at 132. He also won CIF his junior year while being named lower weight CO-MVP. He went on to finish 3rd at Masters and 7th at the CIF State Tournament to advance to Nationals! In addition, he earned All-County recognition following his junior season and has twice been named OC Register Wrestler of the Week.
