Senior Keyan Burnett has committed to play football at the University of Arizona. The Friars' tight end told 247Sports, "I'm really excited about my decision, it just feels right. It's a great situation for me there and I feel really comfortable with the coaches and players." He continued, "I like the momentum they're building and think it's just the best all around fit for me. I have great relationships in place already, the offense fits me and I can't wait to be a Wildcat."
Burnett announced his commitment on Twitter with a heartfelt video saying, "Blessed to be in this position. Committed." Watch the full video here -
Burnett will follow in the footsteps of his father, Chester who played for Arizona in the late 90s and will join fellow Friar QB Noah Fifita who committed to play for the Wildcats in April. Burnett's younger brother, Gage '24, who starts at linebacker for Servite has also been offered by Arizona.
A two-year varsity letterman for Servite, Burnett went viral in his first game as a Friar junior year after making a DK Metcalf like play against Damien chasing down a player across nearly the entire field to make a touchdown-saving tackle.
