Senior Jacob Manu has committed to play football at The University of Arizona. The Friars' linebacker announced his decision on social media sharing, "Words can't explain how thankful and blessed I am to announce that I will be attending the University of Arizona for the next four years."
He then told 247Sports, "It's an amazing feeling right now, I'm really excited to be able to play Pac-12 football. This is something I've dreamed of and to have an opportunity to play with my guys, Noah and Keyan, is super cool. It's going to be great playing with those guys for four more years. I know Arizona isn't where they want to be but I like our '22 class coming in and it's going to be fun to try and help turn things around."
A three-year varsity letterman for the Friars, Manu earned 1st Team All-Trinity League recognition following his junior campaign and 2nd Team All-League his sophomore season. In addition, he currently leads the team in tackles with 44 including four tackles for loss.
In addition to football, Manu also plays rugby for Servite.
Manu is the fifth Friar from the talented senior class to commit joining QB Noah Fifita and TE Keyan Burnett in choosing the Wildcats.
Servite Football is currently 7-0 on the season and ranked No. 8 in the nation!
