Tuition & financial information

2013-2014 School Year

At Servite, our goal is to provide students with the best education available while trying to keep the cost of tuition down. The following is a summary of the 2013-2014 tuition and payment information.

Tuition for the 2013-2014 School Year *

Catholic Students - $12,650  

Non Catholic Students - $13,400

The annual cost to attend Servite includes: Student I.D. and loadable meal card, yearbook, on-line student newspaper, guidance and counseling services, locker, report cards, student activity insurance, standardized testing, Servite school calendar and the Parent Council family roster, Kairos, strength and conditioning training and facility upgrades.

Tuition Discounts

Families may be eligible to receive tuition discounts which are deducted from the total annual tuition amount. The following are the different discounts available. (Please indicate the discounts you are eligible for on your Enrollment Contract worksheet and return the completed form to the Servite Business Office.)

Registered Catholic Discount (reflected above) $750

The Catholic discount is mandated by the Bishop of the Diocese of Orange and is only available to students that are practicing Catholics who are participating in sacramental life, parish activities and their families are contributing financially to their parish. We must receive a completed Parish Verification form from your parish stating that you fulfill the above criteria. In return, the Diocese of Orange donates financial aid annually to Servite.

Annual Payment Discount $600 or $350

Servite offers an annual payment tuition discount to families who pay tuition annually on or before May 17, 2013.

  • Check or Cash Payment Discount- Pay by cash or check and receive a $600 discount.
  • Credit Card Payment Discount- Pay by credit card and receive a $350 discount.

Cash and Credit Card Discounts will be honored at a prorated rate from May 18, 2013 until August 14, 2013 please see schedule below:

Brother Discount

Servite offers a brother discount of $175 per student.

Additional Costs and Fees

For your convenience, the facility fee and formation fees can be rolled into tuition and paid over the school year through FACTS. Technology and Graduation fees must be paid up front.

Registration Fees

Incoming Freshman - $500

  • A registration fee of $500 is due from all accepted incoming freshmen. Pysical Education shorts and shirt, professional dress shirt and Servite tie are included in fee.
  • The registration fee reserves your son's place. If not received, your son's place may be given to the next student on the waiting list.
  • Registration fee due date is indicated on your son's acceptance letter.
  • Payment should be made to the Servite Admissions Office.
  • Please contact the Admissions Office (ext. 1170) for more details.

Returning & Transfer Students - $350

  • A registration fee of $350 is due from all transfer and returning students.
  • Returning students should submit their payment to the Servite Business Office by April 30, 2013.
  • Transfer students should submit their payment to the Servite Admissions Office by the date stated in their acceptance letter.

Computer & E-Book Fee -      

$550 (Freshman – E-Book fee)

$800 (Sophomores and Juniors – Computer Fee $250 and E-Book $550)

$1,000 (Seniors – Computer Fee $450 and E-Book $550)

  • This fee includes the use of a laptop computer and carrying case imaging and access to all online textbooks, interactive software, online resources, internet access, Microsoft Office and applicable curriculum (sophomores, juniors, and seniors only).
  • Payment is due to the Servite Business Office by May 17, 2013.
  • Students using online books may elect to also purchase traditional textbooks for an additional cost. *Several titles are not available on-line through the publishers.
  • The purchase of books not available on-line is the responsibility of the parents.
  • Some classes may have additional lab fees posted on the book list.

Textbooks

Students using online books may also elect to purchase traditional textbooks, however it is not required.

Parking Permit - $35 - Purchase at August Registration

  • Parking at Servite is restricted to juniors and seniors during school hours.
  • To purchase a parking permit, complete the Parking Permit Application and Agreement form and bring it to August 2013 Registration along with the following documents:
  • $35 Parking Fee
  • Current valid California Driver’s License
  • Current Registration
  • Current Proof of Insurance
  • Parking Permit Application and Agreement Form

Graduation Fee - $475

  • This non-refundable fee applies only to senior students.
  • The fee includes: Senior Breakfast at Disneyland and park admission, Senior Memories Day, Grad Night, Baccalaureate Mass, and the graduation ceremony (includes cap, gown, program, diploma, and cover).
  • Payment is due to the Servite Business Office by May 17, 2013.

Sports and Activity Fees

Sports, clubs and activities may charge additional fees, and may have fundraising requirements for student participation.

Late Fees

Servite will assess a $25 fee if a monthly payment is missed. 

Tuition Refunds

Tuition will be refunded at 100% if a student is withdrawn prior to June 30, 2013.  If a student is withdrawn after, the following schedule will be followed:

*Expenses for the 2013/2014 budget went up by 10% over the current school year. Next year’s tuition will only increase by 5.7% due in part to your participation in fundraising and the generosity of many parents and alumni. As you are probably aware, the increases in insurance due to the new healthcare mandates and the cost of energy has almost doubled our utility expenses and dramatically increased our cost to operate the campus.



Payment Plan

Servite offers families the option to pay tuition annually, semi-annually, or monthly. All families that elect semi-annual or monthly payment options must be enrolled in the third-party payment management company, FACTS. Automatic payments help our school achieve a more reliable cash flow and helps our families maintain a priority emphasis on their financial commitment to private education. The timely receipt of payment creates a stronger school and ensures that we concentrate our efforts where they belong—on the education of your son.

Annual Payment Plan

Servite offers discounts for families who pay their annual tuition in full by May 17, 2013.

  • Check or Cash Payment Discount – Pay by check or cash and receive a discount according to the schedule described in Tuition and Financial Information.
  • Credit Card – Pay by credit card and receive a discount according to the schedule described in Tuition and Financial Information.
  • Make payment payable to Servite High School. Payments should be made to the Servite Business Office.

Semi-Annual Payment Plan

Tuition for the school year is divided into two (2) payments.

  • The FACTS tuition payment plan allows parents to choose either June 20, or July 5, 2013 for their first semi-annual payment and either December 20, 2013 or January 5, 2014 for their second semi-annual payment.
  • If this option is selected, a $10.00 processing fee will be applied to the account within 14 days of set up

Monthly Payment Plan

Tuition for the school year is divided into ten (10) for Seniors or eleven (11) monthly payments for Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen.

  • Payments will begin either June 20, or July 5, 2013 and end on April 20, or May 5, 2014.
  • Parents can specify payment dates of the 5th or 20th of each month (or both, if preferred).
  • If this option is selected, a $41.00 processing fee will be applied to the account within 14 days of set up.
  • Senior accounts must be set up on a 10 month payment plan ending no later than April 5, 2014.

Sign Up For Payment Plan

You must complete the Enrollment Contract that you receive with your enrollment packet and return it to the Servite Business Office no later than April 30, 2013. If you are a returning or transfer student, your $350.00 registration fee must accompany your enrollment contract. Please see the Advancement page for information regarding the donation options listed on the Enrollment Contract.

Returning Students will be automatically enrolled in FACTS Tuition Payment Plan, if the account was set up in prior year.

FACTS Information

  • Payments scheduled through FACTS are made by automatic bank withdrawal (ACH/EFT) or automatic credit card withdrawal. You may choose the payment method during your account setup.
  • Neither FACTS nor school personnel have access to your account outside of the parameters of this agreement. All account information is kept confidential.
  • If using credit card, a 2.5% convenience fee will be charged through FACTS. FACTS only accept MasterCard, Discover and American Express for credit card payments.
  • The $10 or $41 annual processing fee will be charged to the account within 14 days of set-up by FACTS. This fee is based upon your payment plan.
  • FACTS payment deductions begin on June 20th or July 5th and end according to the scheduled payment plan.
  • A party responsible for the FACTS account may edit the personal information or method of payment for their account at anytime during the school year.
  • Payment amounts can only be changed by the Business Office.
  • If you are a financial aid recipient, payment plans will be adjusted when the actual financial aid amounts are determined. If the annual payment plan is chosen, the adjusted amount will be reimbursed.
  • If you are a Work Study participant earning tuition credit, payment plans will be adjusted when the Business Office receives the monthly Work Study hours report.
  • All FACTS Payment Agreements must be completed on-line, by May 17, 2013.

Additional Information

Late Fees

Delinquent accounts may be charged a late fee of $25.00 per month until all charges are paid in full.

Non-Payment

If tuition and/or fees are not paid at the end of the previous semester and no payment plan has been established, the student may be denied admission to school. Quarter and/or semester grade reports may be withheld and the student may be prohibited from participating in sports or school activities until the account is brought current. Accounts showing continued delinquency or nonpayment may be turned over to a collection agency or small claims court.

Any senior with a delinquent account will not be allowed to attend or participate in Prom, Graduation ceremonies or Grad Night. No diploma or official transcripts will be given to students with outstanding tuition balances. Permission to attend or participate in Graduation will require full payment of the delinquent account, using cash, cashier's check or money order.

Additional Fees

Servite reserves the right to roll any additional incurred fees such as computer damage, class lab fees, etc. into the students FACTS payment plan which may result in an increased monthly payment.

Tuition Refund Policy

Tuition will be refunded at 100% if a student is withdrawn prior to June 30, 2013. If a student is withdrawn after June 30, 2013, the following schedule will be followed:

The tuition financial obligation is incurred at the time of enrollment.  If enrollment is canceled after June 30, 2013 the parents or guardians who are financially responsible for the student are obligated to pay the full annual tuition and fees according to the refund schedule above. The refund policy outlined below applies to the balance due on all accounts, even for families using the monthly payment plan.

If your son leaves the school before the end of the school year, you are still obligated to pay the remaining balance regardless of the reason for leaving- whether instigated by family or school.
