Critical Needs Team

At the beginning of the 2010-11 school year, the Parent Council Spirituality Team introduced the Critical Needs Ministry. This committee was created to offer immediate support to members of the Servite Community: students, families, staff, teachers, or alumni, in times of need. Last year, we discovered there were SERVITE boys who were skipping or missing a meal. We have many SERVITE families in need who aren’t “poor” but just in a difficult spot because a parent or child is recovering from surgery, injury or illness, a parent has lost their job, the birth of a new baby, or just a time of financial crisis. There are many, many, reasons.

Mission Statement

We are determined to ensure that no Servite student will every go hungry and that no Servite family will go unaided or unassisted in a time of need, always modeling Mary at the foot of the cross.

Vision Statement

The CNM will serve as the conduit to provide assistance, in addition to referrals and other necessary support for Servite students, and families. IN addition to limited financial assistance, CNM will also coordinate donations, resources and efforts to provide meals and additional assistance specific to each situation. The CNM will also coordinate donations, resources and efforts of the Servite community. We will maintain a clear vision of lightening burdens by offering spiritual and community support.

One of the four Formation Themes that our Servite sons live under is the “NECESSITY OF THE OTHER.” We are all called to serve. Please accept that call to be part of something greater….

Who do we serve?

The CNM serves the Servite Community of students, families, alumni, teachers & staff.

When do we serve?

We assist in times of immediate non-regular special circumstances requiring immediate support.

What assistance can be provided?

For Students, we can provide discounted meals through the cafeteria.

For Families, staff, teachers & alumni, we can offer assistance through gas, food & Visa cards, some cash assistance, meal assistance, community referrals, etc.)

How can you help?

  • You can be part of this great ministry. You can help through giving your time, treasure, and talent. Act Now: pray, light a candle, advocate the cause, volunteer to help.
  • Sign up for email alerts (be part of the team! We are continually expanding our reach and if you would like to be part of this wonderful ministry drop us an email.)
  • Serve as member of Critical Needs committee. Join us in helping our Servite Community.
  • Donate goods & services. The “Talent Directory” is currently “under construction.”
  • Give through monetary support.

Ways to donate:

  • Give a direct restricted donation of money or gift cards -- (food, gas, VISA giftcards)
  • Coming Fall of 2012:
    • Donate Online through the “Donate to Critical Needs” button.
    • When loading your son’s meal card you can Give a Dollar to Critical Needs
You can drop off your donations at the Business Office with Stacey Moses or in the Donation Box located outside the Business Office.
