Financial Aid - Please read all information before submitting application!

 

APPLICATION PERIOD NOW OPEN FOR THE 2013-2014 SCHOOL YEAR FOR ALL INCOMING AND RETURNING STUDENTS.

CURRENT STUDENTS ON FINANCIAL AID MUST REAPPLY EACH YEAR.

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MARCH 30TH.

 

NOTICE TO CURRENT FINANCIAL AID STUDENTS:

All required 40 Work Study Hours must be completed by MAY 30TH of school year in which you receive Financial Aid, and you must carry a GPA of 2.5 in order to be considered for following year Financial Aid.

 

Financial Aid is awarded without prejudice or distinction. Financial aid requirements are available upon request. All students, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, are welcome to apply for funding. Financial Aid is awarded based on financial need alone. Servite High School does not offer merit based scholarships. Average Financial Aid typically ranges from $500 to $5000.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE FINANCIAL AID

Submit online application each year along with required supporting documentation; Student Essay, Parent Essay and Tax documentation.

Return signed Financial Aid Award Acceptance Form.

Be enrolled and participate in the Servite Work-Study Program by working 40 hours on campus throughout the year in which they receive financial aid.

Maintain a 2.5 GPA throughout the year in which they receive financial aid.

Maintain a current tuition/fees balance throughout the year in which they receive financial aid.


 

Your Financial Aid packet along with the required essays and financial information, will be reviewed by FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment Service.

  • Objective computer analysis is based upon established financial and geographical presumptions.
  • The Servite High School Financial Aid Committee will review the analysis of the Financial Aid documentation, as well as both essays, and make a final determination regarding financial aid offers.
  • Requirements of contributing granting agencies, families or trustees will be taken into account. Their decisions will be communicated through the Servite Financial Aid Office.
  • All personal financial information is confidential.

There is a single process by which parents apply for financial aid. A new application must be submitted each year to receive financial aid in the new school year. If you miss the deadline, you can still receive consideration by submitting a late application; however, it will be evaluated after the requests received by the stated deadline.

 

RETURNING STUDENTS: The Online application is now open for the 2013-2014 school year. Please apply on-line at www.factstuitionaid.com.

NEW STUDENTS: Once your son has received his official acceptance letter from Servite High School and you have paid the $500.00 registration fee, you may apply on-line at www.factstuitionaid.com.

 

You must enter the school’s zip code 92801, and select Servite from the list of schools.

 

Once you have submitted the online application to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment, you must FAX additional required documentation to FACTS at (866) 315-9264. Please do NOT send information to Servite High School.

 Required Application Supporting Documents:

PARENT ESSAY- please download, print and complete the Parent Essay Form

Please use the Parent Essay to indicate any other financial considerations that may not be reflected in your current or past financial documentation.

2012 copy of complete income tax returns including 2012 Form W-2 OR
2011 copy of complete income tax return plus copy of 2012 Form W-2 and 2013 paystub

Copies of supporting tax schedules if you have income from:

  • S-Corporation – Attach Schedule E (Form 1040),
  • Form 1120S (4 pages), Schedule K-1 and Form 8825
  • Partnership – Attach Schedule E (Form 1040), Form 1065 (5pgs), Sch.K-1 & Form 8825
  • Estates & Trusts – Attach Schedule E (Form 1040), Form 1041, Schedule K- 1 Business – Attach Schedule C or C-EZ (Form 1040) and
  • Form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization
  • Farm – Attach Schedule F (Form 1040) and Form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization
  • Rental Property – Attach Schedule E (Form 1040)

If a family member has not worked anytime during the last 12 months, they must provide copies of formal proof of the following:

  • Legal notice/ action of layoff status
  • Disability benefits.
  • Social security benefits.
  • Unemployment benefits and/or welfare benefits.
  • Court order of legal separation/divorce for spousal and/or child support.
  • If another form of proof of income is used, please explain in detail (Example: check stub, letter from employer with notarized affidavit, etc)

REMINDER:

FINANCIAL AID APPLICATIONS AND ESSAYS MUST BE RECEIVED BY FACTS GRANT AND AID ASSESSMENT BY MARCH 30th.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY PART OF THE FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION TO SERVITE HIGH SCHOOL.

SALLIE MAE’S K-12 FAMILY EDUCATION LOAN or YOUR TUITION SOLUTION

 

Sallie Mae’s K–12 Family Education Loan and Your Tuition Solution can help you send your child to a private primary or secondary school. Get the money you need for tuition, computers, etc. This is an ideal solution for families who need additional flexibility in paying for private education beyond financial aid, personal savings or traditional payment plans. Loan companies will request a copy of your enrollment contract to certify tuition and fee amounts for the upcoming school year. All loan companies operate independently from Servite High School and all questions should go directly to your preferred loan company.

Work Study Program

Work Study Program

 

 

The Servite Work Study Program is designed to help students and families offset tuition expenses by working on the Servite campus.


All Financial Aid recipients will be enrolled in the Servite Work Study Program and will be required to work 40 hours on campus, throughout the year.

  • Hours may begin the summer prior to the school year in which financial aid is received.
  • Parents may work up to 20 of the required hours.
  • Students must complete 40 hours within the current year or the financial aid may be revoked and the application for financial aid for the following year will be denied.
  • Work hours can be scheduled around sports and school related activities.
    • Transportation issues will be considered.
  • After the required 40 hours have been completed, additional hours may be worked to offset your son’s tuition at the current rate of $8.50 per hour. Priority will be given to student with outstanding hours.
  • Students must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA to qualify for this program.
