The Trinity League, especially Servite of Anaheim's Asylum, knows how to turn up the volume to 11 in the stands.

The Asylum is a small group of young men, but they are more rowdy and savage than everyone else in So Cal. If you aren't impressed by their football student section, just wait for basketball season. They go insane in the membrane.

The Asylum got loud for their Friars in their tough loss to St. John Bosco of Bellflower this past week. The noise should only get louder during the playoffs.

Some controversy did strike as we could only put one Orange County Student Section in the Final 4 voting poll. We went with The Asylum, but many believed the Eagles Nest of Santa Margarita deserved to be in the mix. Perhaps, but in the end we went with the Asylum.

That wasn't the only obstacle the Asylum had to climb. They had to battle with Helix of La Mesa's Dawghouse, which once again represented San Diego, Santiago of Corona's Black Sea repped the Inland Empire and Glendora's Dawg pound repped LA, but it was the Servite Asylum taking the So Cal Student Section of the Week title for Week 9.

We spoke with the Asylum, which answered as one, as brothers.

What did it take to stand out as one of the best in So Cal?

The Asylum: To begin, we have a whole committee at Servite that is dedicated to running the Asylum. In addition to that, it helps that we have 300 students at every home game who stay loud the entire game no matter the outcome.

What is your most memorable game you have ever attended as a member of the student section?

The Asylum: Our most memorable game was against Orange Lutheran in Week 8. We were in the game for all four quarters and we won on a last-second FG; rushing the field after that win was awesome.

Favorite theme?

The Asylum: Our favorite theme is a classic "Blackout" ... it is our go to. Black shows humility, and that is what Servite is all about.

Favorite chant?

The Asylum: Our favorite chant is "We are Servite," because we take pride in our school and the school's tradition. Also, the parents like to cheer along to that one!

Outside of you guys, is there one student section that you have seen or heard about where you think, "Man, that is a good student section?"

The Asylum: Obviously, we are the best student section, but we think that the Canyon Tribe does a great job as well.
