This season Rahon finished tied for 2nd at the League Tournament earning his second straight 1st Team All-Trinity League selection. He was a medalist 6 times for the Friars averaging a 37.3 while the team went 23-0 overall.

Alfonso Gonzalez will represent Servite Water Polo at the collegiate level this fall when he attends Whittier College. Gonzalez is the 15th Friar to go on to play collegiately over the past 10 years and the 1st to play for the Poets.

The hillside Santa Barbara course claimed its share of victims with plenty of 80s littering the leaderboard. Only six players in the field came in with a sub-par round. Among those with red numbers were Servite's Kyle Kinanne and Anaheim Discovery Christian's Sam Choi. Kinanne posted a 2-under-par 69 and Choi a 1-under 70 to finish second and third, respectively, behind the 68 shot by Bennett Reichard of San Marcos of Santa Barbara.

The Friars (19-12), who got into the playoffs as an at-large entry, will be home against top-seeded Huntington Beach in the second round Tuesday.

On Monday, no one was better than Rahon at the CIF-SS Western Team Divisional championship. Rahon holed five birdies on a cold, windy and rainy morning, earning medalist honors with a 3-under-par 68 to help the Friars shoot a 360 and win their sixth CIF-SS championship and their second in three seasons.

Another up and coming program, the Friars are hosting a playoff game for the first time. In addition to beating Yorba Linda 6-1 on March 20, the Friars defeated No. 16 Huntington Beach, and No. 10 Mater Dei.
