"What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Indeed someone might say, "You have faith and I have works." Demonstrate your faith to me without works, and I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works." James 2: 15-18
 
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
 
Social Justice is an integral part of your high school experience.  It is important that your Christian service hours come from several different sources.  We welcome hours that may be performed here on campus, but we also stress the importance of hours that are served off-campus as well.  It is important to perform service in your parish or faith based organization; as well as your local civic community.  Please contact the Campus Ministry Team with any questions regarding service opportunities.
 
Please note the following:
  • Only half of each year’s hours will be accepted from service to the Servite High School community.
    • For example: Freshman year 30 hours required. Only 15 hours can be applied from Servite High School service activities. The remainder must come from parish or faith based community activities, social and/or corporal works of mercy projects, or other activities approved by the Campus Ministry Team.
  • Hours completed above required hours per year will not be applied to following year.
  • Students not completing hours each year would not receive their class schedule for the following year.
