Servite has one of the leading 1:1 student Table PC programs in the nation and is acknowledged as a technology leader “west of the Mississippi”. The program began in the 2007-2008 school year when each sophomore student received a school-owned tablet PCs for use in the classroom and at home. The next year, the program was extended to sophomores and juniors, and this year, included the seniors. The program is expected to include all classes (freshmen included) in the near future.

Electronic books allow the student to carry all of his school books on his computer, and give him access to additional electronic resources including animated maps, videos, language labs, demonstrations, practice problems, quizzes and tests.

In the classroom, students submit homework, receive teacher notes and have their class work monitored and checked electronically by the teacher. Students doing their work at home can often ask their teacher who is correcting assignments at home, questions about the subject matter and assignments.

Additionally all student work is automatically backed up on school computer servers. If a student’s computer breaks, he can turn it into the IT department and receive another computer automatically loaded with all of his information.
