Homecoming Weekend

Homecoming 2009

“Walk on the Wild Side…An Island Adventure”

The 2009 homecoming weekend was one of the greatest in Servite’s history. With four great events, and more than a thousand alumni, family, friends and students coming to a transformed Servite campus to be part of “Walk on the Wild Side…An Island Adventure,” the Servite community was able to show how fun our Homecomings are. We want to thank all the volunteers and attendees that helped make this weekend so incredibly special. Without your support and generosity we could not create these life-long memories for our community.

Friar Feast

The 2009 Friar Feast was a tremendous success. 22 Servite Clubs and Teams provided food, drinks and prizes for over 1,000 attendees in the Servite Gym. Each of the clubs and teams that participated in the event were able to raise funds by selling food and drinks, auctioning prizes and collecting direct donations from supporters. This will help each program provide quality experiences for the young men of our school. Along with great food, drinks and laughs guests also had the opportunity to enjoy live music, Polynesian dancers and try their luck on the casino floor. This event has become a Servite tradition and is a must attend for anyone in the Servite family.

Alumni Whiffleball Tournament

On a beautiful October Saturday, over 20 Servite alums from 4 decades got together to challenge each other at whiffleball. The event was sponsored by the Servite Alumni Office and was a rousing success for alums to re-connect with old friends and classmates. The tournament was played as a round robin on Courage Field and culminated in a championship game between alumni from the 80’s and alumni from the 90’s. Hot Dogs, drinks and stories of Servite’s past were exchanged when it was all said and done.

Servite Field Show

On Saturday night the Servite Field Show came to life. With over 1,000 Tri-School students, families and friends coming to see the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen as well as the Ferris Wheel and a roasted pig, Servite was buzzing. Along with the crowning of the court, participants at this event were entertained by Polynesian fire dancers, a live band and the Rosary and Connelly Dance teams. We are already looking forward to next year’s Homecoming Field Show extravaganza.
