Each year, Servite conducts only two school fundraisers, the Fall Magazine Drive and the Servite Sweepstakes. We kick-off the Servite Sweepstakes on Monday, February 2nd, when your son will receive his sales packet at school. Returns will be collected during your son’s Period 1 class on 02/06, 02/13, 02/20, 02/27, 03/06 and 03/12. As always, we will need your help to make this annual fundraising campaign a success.
Below are several things to remember about the Servite Sweepstakes:
- Grand prize to one lucky Sweepstakes ticket holder is $10,000! The drawing date is on April 6, 2009 at the Parent Council meeting;
- $15,000 in cash prizes will be awarded across 10 lucky ticket holders!
- Sweepstakes tickets sell for $5 each and are in booklets of 15 tickets;
- Awards will be given to individual best selling students, the classes with 100% participation, and the classes with the total returns;
- Each student is responsible to sell at least two booklet of Sweepstakes tickets (a $150 value);
- Please feel free to include your family and friends in the opportunity to win cash prizes;
- Additional Sweepstakes tickets are available in the Servite Business Office;
- Winners need not be present to receive their prizes.
Why is it important that we all do everything we can to make sure this year’s Sweepstakes exceeds expectations?
Servite Sweepstakes is critical to insuring that Servite High School remains accessible to any student who desires a Servite education. This year, the real cost for educating a Servite student is well in excess of the $9,850 each student’s family pays annually. This creates a significant shortfall in hard costs that tuition does not cover. This shortfall is realized through development efforts and fundraisers like Servite Sweepstakes.
P.S. The Sweepstakes drawing will now take place on Monday, April 6, 2009 at the Parent Council meeting because the Black and White Ball has been rescheduled to Sunday, May 24th. We appreciate you understand in regards to this necessary change in drawing date.
